New IMPRS PhD representatives elected
The new PhD representatives were both elected with a great turnout.
The IMPRS PhD representatives are an essential and distinguishing part of the IMPRS Graduate School. Their participation in important decisions is appreciated and it is also a crucial element of the program. The IMPRS PhD representatives ensure that the interests of the students are considered and they further can transmit important issues to the students from important meetings. Through this, a proficient communication structure is established which provides to the efficiency of the IMPRS.
All IMPRS researchers were invited to participate in the election of their representatives for the upcoming year. The voter turnout was very high at 86 per cent. With an overall majority of 27 votes out of 31 for each, Alberto Alcalá and Adnan Hayat won the election. Congratulations!
They will take over from Annemarie Lehr and Sebastian Espinel Rios who were particularly dedicated to their office. Thank you for your commitment!
Although the PhD representatives are elected as the main spokespersons, all PhD researchers are encouraged to support the new representatives with their ideas and commitment.
