Call for new PhD positions
From 7th October until 18th November 2021 candidates are welcome to apply for one of the IMPRS PhD Positions.
From the 7th of October until the 18th of November it will be possible for young researchers to apply for the structured PhD program of the IMPRS. The IMPRS offers a great opportunity for talented young scientists to obtain a doctorate under excellent research conditions in a multidisciplinary environment, and under close scientific supervision.
The atmosphere for research in the IMPRS program is highly international. Not only do the researchers from various countries join the IMPRS, but they also derive out of diverse areas of Engineering, Natural Science, and Mathematics.
At the IMPRS the researchers are able to select their own PhD topics based on their specific backgrounds. Therefore, the interdisciplinary program provides support for developing creativity, innovative thinking, and developing skills needed for independent and high-level scientific work.
All researchers benefit from close supervision and vast scientific, professional and social networks. The interdisciplinary approach includes numerous opportunities for scientific breakthroughs.
The IMPRS PhD program is a joint initiative of the Max-Planck Institute and the Otto-von-Guericke University. Both are committed to increasing the number of individuals with disabilities in their workforce and therefore encourage applications from such qualified individuals. Furthermore, the Max Planck Society and the Otto von Guericke University seek to increase the number of women in those scientific areas where they are underrepresented and therefore explicitly encourage women to apply.
