Abstract

Digital Twins for Process Systems Engineering can be understood as the interconnected network of all the necessary partial models that are utilized and generated in the life cycle of a process. This talk addresses Digital Twins in Modular Plant Ecosystems where flexibility is key to success in volatile, fast-changing markets. I’m going to talk about how we are coping with knowledge that is distributed between modular equipment vendors and owner/operators of modular plants and eventually highlight some first results of our research in facilitating the transfer of processes from lab to plant.
