The Bio/Process Analytics team opens the doors of their laboratory for you! You will learn what important functions proteins perform and which analytical methods can be used to analyse proteins. You can take a pipette in hand and determine the molecular weight of a protein by means of gel electrophoresis. This is a type of sieving process in an electrical field in which the proteins are separated. They can then be made visible by staining.
