The International PhD Seminar on Chromatographic Separation Science is a forum and network for young researchers who focus on fundamentals and applications in the field of chromatography.
The seminar was founded by Prof. Henner Schmidt-Traub1, Prof. Klaus Unger2, and Dr. Reinhard Ditz3 in 2001 and initially named as “PhD Seminar Preparative Chromatography”. Prof. Massimo Morbidelli4 and Prof. Andreas Seidel-Morgenstern5 have been showing great dedication to the seminar organization and it has been eventually renamed as International PhD Seminar on Chromatographic Separation Science (SoCSS). Currently, the seminar is organized annually throughout Europe, mainly in Germany.
