Kick-off Meeting for European Model Reduction Network

Mathematicians from the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems are involved in establishing a European Network on Model Reduction EU-MORNET.

This network aims at bringing together all major groups in Europe working on a range of model reduction strategies with applications in many domains of science and technology.

Chair of the COST Action ist Prof. Wilhelmus Schilders, Technical University Eindhoven, Netherlands. Prof. Peter Benner, director at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems and head of the research group Computational Methods in Systems and Control Theory is vice chair of the network.

The kick-off meeting on 18th and 19th of September 2014 in Eindhoven aims at defining focus themes and next steps.
