Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Anuja Datta is a Team Leader in the Materials Systems Engineering Group at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems. Her research bridges fundamental materials science and device engineering, with a focus on the design of functional materials and the investigation of their multifunctional properties, including ferroelectric, thermoelectric, piezoelectric, pyroelectric, magnetic, optoelectronic, and correlated behaviors for sensing and energy applications. She also specializes in the design of energy devices and the evaluation of their performance and long-term stability using finite element analysis.

Prior to joining the Max Planck Institute, Dr. Datta served as an Associate Professor of Physics in SRMIST, INDIA and was awarded the prestigious Ramanujan Fellowship by the Government of India in recognition of her outstanding research contributions. She conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge, UK, and the University of South Florida, USA, where she subsequently held the position of Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics.

Dr. Datta serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Electroceramics (Springer Nature). Her research group integrates advanced materials design, computational modelling, and device engineering to develop innovative solutions for next-generation sensing, energy harvesting, and energy conversion technologies.
