A Festschrift in Honor of the 70th Birthday of Professor Athanasios C. Antoulas

June 21, 2022

Professor Athanasios C. Antoulas, Max Planck Fellow and head of the research group Data-Driven System Reduction and Identification at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems Magdeburg has been honoured with a Festschrift on the occasion of his 70th birthday. The book has been published in June 2022.

Professor Athanasios C. Antoulas (Thanos Antoulas) is renowned for his fundamental research contributions on model reduction, which is a timely and important area with many scientific and engineering applications. In September 2020 he turned 70. On occasion of this anniversary, a commemorative publication has been compiled and published now.

The book celebrates Professor Thanos Antoulas's 70th birthday, marking his fundamental contributions to systems and control theory, especially model reduction and, more recently, data-driven modeling and system identification. Model reduction is a prominent research topic with wide ranging scientific and engineering applications.
