The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems is looking for a research assistant (m/f/d) with a basic understanding of mathematical models and solid skills in MATLAB to help in a research project to analyze testing strategies to prevent local Covid-19 outbreaks in a facility such as a hospital.

Job Description

Modelling a facility of about 500 inhabitants as a graph in MATLAB. This includes the realization of the organizational units as parts of the graph and the modelling of interactions through properties of the graph. Once the model is ready, simulations are run to explore the parameter dependencies and to evaluate possible scenarios.

Requirements

You should be a student in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field with some knowledge in mathematical modelling and simulation.
