Summer School on Process Systems Engineering 2015

From August 31 - September 04 the 4th Summer School of the IMPRS Magdeburg will take place here at the MPI. The topic of the Summer School is "Process Systems Engineering".

In 2007 an International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) was installed in Magdeburg, jointly organized by the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems and the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. A well established element of this graduate school are biannual Summer Schools devoted to specific problems of applied mathematics, chemical engineering and bioengineering.
Internationally well-known experts are invited to give overview lectures on their field of expertise. An important part are tutorials that allow the participants to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired. The doctoral students of the IMPRS Magdeburg as well as PhD students and advanced master students working on similar topics are invited to participate in order to gain new views on their fields of interest. The upcoming Summer School will focus on the currently intensively investigated topic of “Decision making and uncertainty”.
