The group leader and former director Prof. Ernst Dieter Gilles retired in June 2011.

Activities of his former Research Group "Systems Biology" are being continued at the MPI within the two groups:

"Analysis and Redesign of Biological Networks (ARB)"
and
"Experimental Systems Biology (ESB)".
