Dr. Yvonne Genzel elected into the ESACT Executive Committee

PD Dr. Yvonne Genzel, teamleader in the research group Bioprocess Engineering, was elected as secretary to the Executive Committee of the European Society for Animal Cell Technology (ESACT). The non-profit society brings together scientists, engineers and other specialists working with animal cells and organizes a conference with 1000 participants every two years.

PD Dr. Yvonne Genzel was elected as Secretary of the Executive Committee of the European Society for Animal Cell Technology (ESACT) on their general assembly during 24th ESACT Conference in June 2015 in Barcelona.

The European Society for Animal Cell Technology is a society which brings together scientists, engineers and other specialists working with animal cells in order to promote communication of experiences between European and International investigators and progress the development of cell systems and productions derived from them.

ESACT has become a leading conference in the field of Animal Cell Technology, attracting around 1000 participants from both academia and industry. The three main components of the meeting - scientific programme, trade exhibition and social programme - provide an up-date on the advances in the field, both at the basic and applied levels.
